Made it

Despite a rough last night of the 57 hour passage from newcstle uk to tananger norway the crew were in great spirits when we landed. It was tough on the last night of crossing with wind at 20 gusting 25-35 knots. The sea was building and v fast moving big swell was coming out of a bank of black cloud that followed us all the way through the night until we were 60 miles off norway. We did extra miles north to come into norway on more of a easterly heading to avoid beating into the prevailing and forecast northerly wind we recived nearer the norwegian cost. With big swell and beam 25knot wind we forged a violent furrow at 7 knots with three reefs in the main. Hand stearing was better for keeping the very tired crew from getting thrown about below (just saying that was the skipper on the helm from 5 am till we landed at 245pm). It felt amazing to land after our first over night watch keeping passage. A bigger challenge for some of the crew than others but all still willing to consider the return sail back to scotland, thankfully.
