Really hope we never need these

Had to order these for night sailing safety, lifejacket lights, really hope these never need to hit the water but you never know. Presently digging into the sail to norway paperwork nitty gritty. There seems to be quite a bit of paperwork and lots to read. But the end is well in sight and it does not seem too bad. Its interesting that when you hop on a eurostar, cross channel ferry or airplane to travel to foreign lands most of the formalities are done for you, beyond our ken. Its a real reminder of our responsibilities and the risks to that must be planned for. Sharing all this with the family is making it fab experience for all. We are all getting excited to leave on our first multi day crossing, we have total confidence in our dragonfly and we feel confident in ourselves but still full of trepidation. I can not wait to share out first dawn at sea with nothing in site but the odd ship or oil rig, its something i never forgot from my own youth sailing to southern ireland with my mum and dad and sister. Its one of those unique experiences that feel so rare and enriching you can not put into words.
