Bigger day tomorow

After a full day today finding our sea legs on short 36Nm passage with 630 start, followed by a level and gcse revision and wondering round cambletown for mum and dad and bt. We are happy to get into bed early for the fun of rounding the mull of Kintyre with alarm set for 545 and off at 630. This should wosh us round the mull with favorable neap tides and light winds to a possible beat (motor sail) up the sound of Jura to Gigha (this bit might be choppy) but very light winds mean it should be just a motor and blissfully relaxing. But it will be a longer day and filled with the expectation of rounding the mull. Its funny how the notoriety and seriousness of potentially difficult waters notches up the excitement peg or too. Thanks to a friend i have been round twice with limited incident (i was nearly sick once cas it was rough and i felt unfamiliar with the motion of a different boat). Today after 3 hrs of motor sailing into wind to get round south of Aran we turned onto a beam reach and romped along very comfortably in 16kts of wind at 7kts over the ground to cambletown. All tired out now we settle down before 9 for an early start.
