Our first morning afloat
Spent an afternoon night and morning aboard this weekend, basically finding out what all the buttons do and checking, testing and familiarising with everything below decks. Haven't even got to the fun bit yet Sailing that would be nice. It's very convenient waking up on board and there are lots of little jobs to do and who did we find moored up at Royal Keys Newcastle but the Queen Elizabeth the big cruise ship. Jenny helped lay out the anchor rode on the pontoon and check the shackle and chain where sound. We had all the instrumentation up and running too not sure how to use it all very well but seems very user friendly so far. What we really had fun with was trying to find the seacock to the heads (toilet) inlet (flushing seawater) so we could not use the heads until the morning when we gave in and had to send a request to the previous owner to let is know where to find it! Most satisfying to find we could operate it.
