Sailing Dragonfly
This blog is a record of our family sailing adventures aboard Dragonfly our Sigma 38 Ocean One Design. It also records the works carried out on the boat mostly by myself. There is a focus to the sailing diary to how we have engaged our kids in this shared adventure and how so far they are as motivated to play there part in all there is to discover in maintaning and traveling aboard your own sailing boat.

Final race
The last race in whyw passage series was our best yet 10th in our class and not quite quick enough to win anything. But we were up with the fleet and made a not bad start, made easy cas there was so little wind. Flying the spinnickar all day was so tiring and helming was so tricky to keep up pace in light air. Thanks all to amazing crew who made the whole week a fantastic experience and so much fun. Unfortunately i find myself with covid type symptoms stuck in my birth totally tired out now on our family cruise bit boring specially after such an amazing week racing.

Beating into wind racing
Is totally exhausting. We forgot to put the spray hood down but we came 12 out of 14. And sailing along inside the fleet was really exciting specially when the wind started playing games! And close quarter negotiations where required rounding the boy. The crew was amazing and fergus was on fire and on it all the way. Was a long day.
