First race was terrfiying! Start was scariest thing ever done in a boat. Its rained all day we got the spinniker up and and we finished 14th in our class of 14 boats ;)

Fergus’ first solo jolly

With every faith in fergus' ability and confidence i watched him leave to take dragonfly a short hop to craobh marina on his own. He landed the boat perfectly, of course he did!

Packing for west highland yachting week

Stowed the meals for 8 people for a weeks racing! Quite a lot of food. Its a very satisfying feeling having all those planned meals stowed away and ready to sustain 8 friends on a jolly. Tomorrow we have another day of faff changing our sails over from a cruising set to a set of laminated racing ones and emptying the boat of all things weighing us down. Just hope we will all enjoy trying to race and not make total fools of our selves. I guess there is little risk of that and who cares anyway it should be a hoot what ever.
