Main luff rope and slider tie repair

Well that should do it, perhaps the baton might have been a bit tight! Or the back stay too tight, or the tack not tight enough! We shall try to observe trim to reduce the chaff. Perhaps we should reef much sooner!

Shiny prop

That should slow up the growth on the prop. Did this last year and there was very little limescale/growth on it.

Winter maintainance

Last three days been hard at it servicing dragonfly ticking off all the jobs to do at a pace. Thankfully all going to plan and made lots of progress. Half way through engine survice all good only oil and coolant to change. The dingy all sails and hood are off deck on breif inspection all good only a new bag to make for the dingy as the one that came with it is falling apart!

The micron antifoil painted on last year has worn well only needing wee touch up. The keel to hull seem goo has been racked out and replaced with new as advices by last year survay. The prop is out its coupling shaft and propellor all back for polish and paint job. Main sail on workshop flour looks good basically needs carefull inspection. Only the top sides to polish and basically good to go. Oh the water tank thankfully is not leaking at its air vent connection point well its just the old stiff hose and lack of double clip that was letting out water. Have the ball end joint on the helm to replace but this can be done on the water when births are free of stored deck gear and access available again.

The family were not helping this time they are full engaged in exam revision and given they aseem so serious about it i have not troubled them with such distractions. Hopefully though they will enjoy a brief jolly afloat ant half term and easter there has to be some fun! Hopefully i will book fergus and myself onto a sea survival course in half term which will be fun and i have arranged for a family dayout to see our life raftinspection and repacking at ocean safty in greenock
