Loch fyne to ardrossen

Put the anchor down four times on my own yesterday. Having a windless makes it easy, although when you want it on the bottom fast its better put it out by hand over hand. After putting it down in loch geir for lunch, i put it down again in asgog bay only to get it wrong as the wind moved us from the spot fast before i could get the anchor out and down. It was a windy spot, so after heaving the anchor up i moved and then dragged and could not get a hold for a good long drag so i went back to the first spot better prepped and hit the spot. Thankfully the 25 knots of wind calmed down in the late evening. Had great fun putting the sails out on multiple passages and mooring up in ardrossen was aided by some v helful by standards. Home earlier than expected with failing strength with onset of terrible head cold.

Crinan jolly

We were blessed with fine weather for a transit of the crinan. Had the loveliest weekend with jenny, sailing, canal transiting, swimming, walking, cycling, having a drink out and lots of fun in the sun.
Jenny gone home now and its raining! Have this week to myself afloat to make my way to ardrossen for winter birth. Planning to take my time, practice my single handed sailing, explore the clyde's more secluded parts finding anchorages and finally get round to doing some art afloat.
