Very hard work

Getting the job done can be a hard work, specially on your own. A few on lookers have been kind and supportive and its nice to have a chat with others in the mist of boat readying. The yard is busy. Been here since monday, at it! Now just another coat of anti foil and the polishing of starboard top sides and then drive home.

The calm after the storm

Had some lovely blue sky and off shore breezes last few days sailing round Bute. Started with an engine service and daughter loved getting the gloves on and fined out a bit more about the workings. Back to ardrossen today and all canvas off and wonterisation tomorow before dragonfly layed up on the hard for the winter. Bottom to paint and sides to clean and polish. Its been a busy season on and off.

Great times

Final race

The last race in whyw passage series was our best yet 10th in our class and not quite quick enough to win anything. But we were up with the fleet and made a not bad start, made easy cas there was so little wind. Flying the spinnickar all day was so tiring and helming was so tricky to keep up pace in light air. Thanks all to amazing crew who made the whole week a fantastic experience and so much fun. Unfortunately i find myself with covid type symptoms stuck in my birth totally tired out now on our family cruise bit boring specially after such an amazing week racing.

Beating into wind racing

Is totally exhausting. We forgot to put the spray hood down but we came 12 out of 14. And sailing along inside the fleet was really exciting specially when the wind started playing games! And close quarter negotiations where required rounding the boy. The crew was amazing and fergus was on fire and on it all the way. Was a long day.
